1. Who designs the mobile training rooms?

We do. Over the last six years we have designed and built all sorts of mobile learning, testing and marketing vehicles. Our experience is combined with feedback from trainers and delegates to create an environment that is functional, comfortable and visually appealing.

2. How many delegates can be trained onboard?

The PC Coaches come in two models – accommodating 8 or 10 delegates in specially designed ergonomic workstations. The PC Pods are designed to accommodate 10 delegates.

3. How are the mobile training rooms powered?

The PC Coaches can be powered from a single 13 Amp plug – although many of our clients provide a waterproof 16 amp ‘caravan style’ socket. The coaches also have onboard generators that can be used if there is no convenient power supply. Because PC Pods have been especially designed for longer stays on each site, they powered from a 32 Amp supply – our operations team will liaise with your facilities department to arrange for installation if required.

4. How close does the mobile learning room need to be to the power supply?

We advise a maximum of 20m if possible.

5. How much parking space is required?

Space requirements are:

PC Coach – 8 delegate – 9m (appox. 4 parking spaces)
PC Coach – 10 delegate – 10m (approx 5 parking spaces)
PC Pod – 10 delegate – 12m (approx 6 parking spaces)

6. Are the mobile training rooms air-conditioned?

All of PC Coaching’s mobile training rooms have climate control air conditioning. In summer these are complemented by external blinds and in winter by a night heating system.

7. What arrangements are made for refreshments and lunch?

One of the many advantages of mobile training is that because people are at their normal place of work, they can access whatever facilities they normally use.

8. Does the trainer drive the coach to our site?

Not normally – our logistical support team is responsible for deployment and set-up of vehicles, though we do make sure that the majority of our trainers are qualified to drive the vehicles in case of an emergency.

9. Is there space for delegates to take notes?

Yes, this has been incorporated into the design of each workstation. There is enough room for a delegate to comfortably work with a double-paged A4 booklet.

10. What if there isn’t a suitable parking space on a site?

If a site isn’t suitable, alternative arrangements can usually be found at a nearby location such as a hotel. We will shortly be launching a network of 150 sites across the UK with power and data facilities to help support our clients that can not find suitable parking on their sites.

11. Can the mobile training rooms be connected to our network?

Most of the projects that we support require establishing a connection into a company’s own network. There are a number of ways that we can achieve this – our technical support team can provide more details.

12. Is there room for our own servers onboard?

Yes, there is room for 2-3 additional servers in the ventilated server locker onboard. Alternatively our own servers can be configured.

13. Can we fit additional equipment onboard?

Yes, additional hardware such as EPOS systems (POS, scanners etc.) can be fitted onboard.

14. What about access to the internet?

Internet access can be provided in a number of ways. The location of the mobile training room and the required connection speed will determine the best solution.

15. What happens if there is a hardware failure?

In the unlikely event of an equipment failure, there are hot swappable PCs, monitors and keyboards onboard. Our IT support team are always available to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.

16. Am I responsible for insurance whilst the vehicle is on my site?

Our vehicles are fully insured whilst on your site. Security is a key concern to us and the details of each site are discussed will be discussed in detail prior to the start of the project.

17. Do we have to pay for fuel?

No, the moving charge covers the costs of driver expenses and fuel – excluding hotel accommodation if required.
